Corn on the Cob

Isaac had his first taste of corn on the cob the other day. I originally cut it off the cob but he really wanted to eat mine so I let him try. I helped him at first but then just gave the cob to him. He was completely covered in butter! I don't think he got much off but he sure has the idea!

Today we are painting the walls that were patched. It looks like our flooring will be installed on Tuesday and maybe Wednesday. Then we just need to clean up and put things back on the walls! Our project is almost over!

More Mighty Minnows!

August has been warm and therefore it is finally weather we can swim in!!! Mighty Minnows is winding down, we only have one week left. I took Isaac to the pool Saturday afternoon while Zach was golfing though and he really seemed to enjoy himself. He tripped and went under a couple of times by himself but didn't seem too upset. I think he just hates it when we do it to him! :) Isaac's friend, Hadley, is in Mighty Minnows with us and also came to the pool on Saturday afternoon. Here are a few pics:

Just an update on the remodel progress. Our drywall is being patched, hopefully that will be done by tomorrow. Then we need to primer and paint the walls and a little portion of the ceiling. It's a popcorn ceiling so I'm sure it won't be fun! We are hoping to have our flooring installed Monday and Tuesday next week. Then we will be ready to clean up and hang things on the walls again! Just in time for a bridal shower I'm hosting on the 22nd! If anyone would like to test cleaning products without ruining your carpet...we have a carpet available for a limited time!

Isaac's been giving me cheesy smiles at lunch lately. He just loves having his picture taken while he's eating. I think it's great because he's happy and I get tons of great smiles! Unfortunately I also get a lot of "see" food. I won't post those pictures here. :)

Remodel...

We have been busy at our house! Thursday night Zach began demolishing our half wall between the living and dining room and Friday he finished removing the wall in our kitchen! Saturday we spent the entire day painting the upstairs and on Sunday we rested! Much needed rest too as Isaac didn't sleep well on Saturday night. Now all we need to do is having our flooring installed! We are putting laminate in the kitchen and dining area and new carpet in the living room and hallway. Hopefully that will be done sometime this week or next.

Zach thinks the kitchen color is a little wild but we are getting used to it. It is definitely different! Once we get wall hangings up and curtains back on the windows I think it will quiet down a lot!

Isaac LOVES to stick his head in the chair like this...it is so funny! He's been doing well...we've been keeping him up a little late the past week and we are paying for it in crabbiness! I'm trying to make sure he gets all his naps this week and to bed early!
