Happy 4th Birthday Isaac!

Four years ago our lives were changed forever, for the better.  We are so thankful & blessed to have such a smart, caring, funny boy in our lives.  No matter how much I want to keep my little boy little, he is growing up faster than we can imagine.  Isaac will start preschool in the fall and he is going to start some summer park & rec activities in June.

This was my baby, four years ago.

And now, my big boy is 4!  So grown up!

We are celebrating tonight with friends and my parents.  Isaac wanted a Jake & the Neverland Pirates birthday theme.  He is so excited to have cupcakes and open presents.   When people ask Isaac what he wants for his birthday he tells them, "A Mickey Mouse Po-ped".  Translation: a Mickey Mouse scooter.  We are getting him a sandbox so he will stop digging in my flower beds!  On Saturday we will travel to Austin to celebrate with Zach's family.

We have been really busy with spring activities.  Zach's working on a big project at work so he has put in a lot of over time lately.  Isaac & Caleb are enjoying the nice spring weather.  We are always outside playing. Isaac got a bike from Grandpa & Grandma Erickson & he enjoys riding it in the back of our house.  Isaac is learning so much, he surprises us with how much he really knows.  He loves tractors, trucks, and cars.  Last week we went to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate his finally being potty trained.  It has been a LONG time coming.  We also celebrated his birthday while we were there.  Caleb is becoming a chatterbox, learning new words and phrases daily.  He is so independent and wants to do everything his big brother does.  A common phrase out of his mouth is "Me, Me, Me."  He wants to do big boy stuff, like sit in the big chairs at supper and sit on the potty.  We aren't officially potty training but we let him practice sitting if he wants.  We will probably pursue more serious potty training this summer.

My goal is to get on here more often and give updates.  I don't mean to leave people in the dark but I am sure you understand the busyness of having 2 small boys.  They definitely keep me on my toes!
